Q&A with Zoe Ha

What is your favourite thing about working at Gerry Lewis Inc.?
My favourite thing is definitely the brainstorming sessions we have at Gerry Lewis Inc.! In those brainstorming sessions, we come together as a team, sometimes even with clients, and throw all the creative and innovative ideas we can come up with on a big board.
We use colourful sticky notes and all kinds of Sharpies to organize those ideas and flesh out a plan. It is productive and fun, and we walk away with these great ideas that didn't exist before.
How do you like to start your day?
I usually start with a cup of water. Drinking water on an empty stomach when you just wake up is incredibly healthy for you (I promise I’m not making this up). Then I move on to unhealthy things – a cup of coffee to wake myself up because I am definitely not a morning person and can’t get on without caffeine in my system.
If you had a vacation day in the middle of the week, how would you spend it?
I imagined it to be a rainy or snowy day. I would curl up in my bed with a cup of hot green tea, a book, a few TV shows and my Sudoku puzzles.
What was your first job?
I was a Sales Associate at a store called L’Occitane in Yorkdale Mall. The job was just a normal sales job – greeting customers, answering questions, suggesting products. What I loved about the job though, was the people I worked with. I was 17 and was the youngest person in the store so there were times when customers were mean to me. The team always had my back and everyone took care of me like I was their younger sibling.
If you weren’t a Marketing Specialist at Gerry Lewis Inc., what do you think you’d be?
I’d love to be a photographer! I think photos can capture beautiful moments and amazing things.
